Phaser 8500 lite stripe

We have a Phaser 8500 solid ink printer. There is a lite stripe that runs the length of the page toward the left side. What causes this? Thanks.

Usually this is caused by one or more (partially) clogged nozzles in the printhead. You can run the "Remove light stripes" procedure from the control panel. Sometimes you have to run this several times before the light stripes disappear.
