Got printer jamming from the MPT tray with tabloid paper. May do it with other sizes, but haven't seen it. From observation, my first though was strictly mechanical. It would start to feed the paper and then stop, reporting a jam. I replaced the MPT tray assembly since the roller isn't available separately. All seemed well although I recently learned it's still been doing the jam occasionally since then. I don't think there is much of a difference in frequency though.
Going back to a previous post I made on this subject, I decided I had better do the ATS 4 sheet calibration. I have the Xerox transperancies specified. When I do the test according to the manual, I get a repeated failure. The printer never even picks up the transperancy. It sits and thinks for a few moments and then says the test failed. Repeat and I have the same result.
What gives? Am I doing something wrong or is there a problemm with the thickness sensor? If there is a problem, what's the part number for it?? The manual doesn't say that any one part is the thickness sensor. The only things that seem close are a cover and the harness kit.
