Looking for the process on programming Phantom TN's. I have a group leaving but I need to keep their mailboxes active for about a month. I would normally build acdn's and point them to voicemail but someone told me phantoms would work better. Any guidence would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

first you need to verify that you have PHANTOM loops
to do this go to LD 22
REQ prt
TYPE cequ

look under SUPL if you have superloops the phantom loop will be the SUPL with an N in front of the number ie: N156

after confirming the loop you will need to OUT the exsisting TN and also any apperances of that number on any phone then go to your phant loop and build as a 500 set ( it can only be a 500 set)
then at FTR prompt: FTR dcfw x (x being the number of digits to forward) THEN THE NUMBER and WALA! default call forward. One thing to remember though YOU CAN'T USE THAT NUMBER ON A NON-PHANTOM TN

Build a Phantom superloop, which I believe is N96 in the 11C's (you do not normally build a superloop in the 11's, so this may be a new option for you). It is done in LD 97.

Code:
REQ CHG
TYPE SUPL
SUPL N96 or N156
.

Then you can build a 500 set starting on TN 61 0 in the Option 11 (Don't ask about the different addressing on the TN) The new TN will show phantom when you print it.

On the bigger systems, you can use any superloop 156 (N156) and up, in multiple of 4. Begin programming at 156 0 0 0. (TN Mapping is correct here, and you can use multiple "cards" on the same phantom loop 156 0 1 0, 156 0 2 0, etc.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

btw, acd's work just the same and do not require a lic or a tn. i use maxp 1 acd ncfw to mail.. another good point, i can check my acd reports and out numbers that are built and no longer called..
