Hello

I am kind of new to phone switches an we are using an 11c. I can add, change and remove phones. However I am wondering if someone can take a minute to explain the major difference between acdn's and phantom tn's. For example what each one does and why I might want to use one and not the other.

Thanks
Jeremy

if your using maxp 1 acd instead of phantom's your saving software and money.. the only difference i can think of, with a phantom you can use rcfw to change the forward target as a user.. for a acd, only changeable from the term. i always use acd to redirect calls, faster clean, and cheap.. idc tables in ld 49 do the same thing when dialing from a trunk.. did 1000 comes in, you can send that to 0 or 2000, same is true with either other type of redirect but, mail will usually see the original dialed dn on a phantom, can't see that on an idc, or acd

So as I understand the previous reply one large difference is a user change change the forwarding number for a phantom tn and not for an acdn.

Am I close, if so I assume I can create a number (ex 2132 or whatever) as a phantom and add that number to a digital phone, then they will be able to call forward 2132 to another number? If I am correct can someone post a quick config of how to do this (lets say I have a 2008 with key 0 set to 2131 and 2132 on key 1) how do I allow them to call forward 2132 to lets say 2133. If I am mistaken can someone help me with the aforementioned objective. For give me but this still can get a little confusing.

can't do that with a acd because 2132 is in use. here's the acd code, if 2132 was vacant

Code:
REQ [b] new[/b]
TYPE [b]acd[/b]
CUST[b] 0[/b]
ACDN[b] 2132[/b]
MWC
DSAC
MAXP[b] 1[/b]

this is a new phantom station, analog
Code:
PT0000
REQ: [b]new[/b]
TYPE:[/b] 500[/b]
TN [b] 244 1 00 07[/b]
CDEN
DES [b] temp[/b]
CUST 0

SGRP
CLS [b]fna[/b]

SCI
FCAR
MLWU_LANG
PLEV
FTR[b]fdn 2133[/b]

because 2132 is in use, go back and change the dn to 2132 and at the marp prompt, enter yes.. that will change the control of 2132 to the set, and allow the user to control 2133 independent of 2131. that analog will forward either after 3 rings, or by using remote call forwarding, never ring at 2132... you can use a phantom loop, as i did, or make the station a 2008 and add 15 to the tn on the physical station... the soft tn for 4 0 0 1, would be 4 0 0 16
