We are using Exchange 2003 SP1 with Outlook 2003. When anyone tries to accept a meeting request from a particular users it states the message was undeliverable:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: Accepted: test
Sent: 14/08/2007 09:49

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

Bloggs, Joe on 14/08/2007 09:49
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

The recipient doesn't work for us and his mailbox and AD account have been deleted. I checked the users mailbox for rules or delegates but nothing has been setup. Can anyone suggest where Exchange it getting Bloggs, Joe from?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers, Mike

Joe was probably a delegate of someone at one point. Basically, you have to remove the person from being a delegate BEFORE removing their AD account.

1. Figure out which user is causing the problem to occur. It should be only occurring when one particular user gets an invitation or mail.
2. Check if the user has any mailbox rules. If so save them to the computer as a file.
3. Open Outlook using the command line, specifying the "cleanrules" option.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the advice, the cleanrules worked. I've never seen this before but will remember for any future problems.

Cheers,

Mike
