Hi everybody,

hope you can help: using NT 4 Server (SP6a) with BE 7.0 Build 719 the job queue shows several inventory jobs that where not created by myself. One is running, the others are pending. I can delete the running one immediately, the others remain pending and I can only delete them due to stopping and restarting all services. The problem is: after rebooting the server these jobs appear again.

What is strange is that the device referred to by these phantom jobs is not the name of the actual device (actual device: archive 0, device referred to by the phantom jobs: StdAlone 0, StdAlone 1 etc). There never was a device called "StdAlone".

Thanks for any advice,
regards.

I don't use Ver7, but maybe someone scheduled an inventory. There should be a tab that allows you to see the job definitions (in ver 8.6 it's called Job Definitions). Look for that or something similar. See if this is a scheduled job.

@SQLBill

Thanks for input. There are no inventory jobs on the tab with job definitions beside the scheduled backup job. Maybe I could check the BE databases with BEUTILITY although this is not part of BE 7.0?

Regards.
