After formatting a notebook HD and reinstalling Win2000, the Explorer Personalized Menus do not function (the IE and Office menus work as always).

I have checked and unchecked the box on Start>Settings>Taskbar &Start Menu, I have changed the Registry key value from Yes to No and back again, and rebooted until I am blue in the face.

There are no new applications that were not in the system when the menus worked.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Jon61. Did you ever get a solution to your problem? I have the same kind of problem, though I "created" it a different way, by overwriting a user profile. I now have two profiles that are supposed to be identical, but in one the start menu programs list works normally (i.e., only recently used items appear) wheras on the other everything appears always (and I don't want it to).
