Personal.xls in Excel 2003 1

I have recently invested in a new PC which has XP Home and was given Excel 2003 with the package. I am trying to install my "Personal.xls" from the old PC onto the new machine. but find I cannot access the XLStart folder to store the Personal file.
I appreciate that the remedy may lie within XP but excel must have a way to enable the facility to continue. Can anybody enlighten me about the procedure I have missed.
All assistance will be appreciated.

What do you mean you cannot access it. Can you see it but not get into it? You likely won't yet have a personal.xls on that machine, so hit the record button, choose personal macro workbook, type a 1 somewhere and then quit.

Now search for personal.xls telling the search to llok in hidden file and folders. See if it that lets you find it, and then just replace it with the old one.
