Hello:

I am trying to work through a configuration that exists on my s8500 switch. It involves personal central office lines. Am I supposed to be able to deliver a central office line as under button feature with only software programming or does it require hardwiring to the phone as well?

In the switch you will need to "add pers #1" or add personal-co-line number 1. Then you can assign a button with that on it.

Mike:

Thanks for the reply. I guess my real question is how do I provide access to this personal central office line on both a digital phone (the reply you gave) and the attendant console.

Thanks

Looking through my first attendant console, I could not find a spot that would let me enter that option. We are using 302 c's.

PCOL's are just that, a personal line which can be assigned on up to 8 sets with button access, no consoles though. If you want it to ring you must allow bridged ringing.

Mikey are you in NOLA or Red Stick??

Thanks once again. I have worked around this by removing the pcol and setting up the line as a trunk and routing it to the console and digital hand set. They did not really need a pcol when the process was reviewed.

I am in north Louisiana phonesrus.
