Hi,

I am having a problem accessing a share on a Windows 2000 Server, which is on an NT domain.

The share has permissions set so that "Everyone" has full permission. But I cannot seem to access the share UNLESS the user is set as a Domain Admin.

Any ideas what I should check next?

Thanks,

Dave Bennett

Check your NTFS rights
Right Click the folder and pick properties
Click on the security tab
add the people you want to have access to

Jason,

Thanks for the reply but I don't think that will help. I can specify the users I want to give permission to the folder and have also added the everyone group. I still cannot access the folder unless I am a domain admin.

I'm not sure, but this may be a problem related to this being a win2000 server and my domain is running on NT 4 servers.

Any other suggestions? :)

Just a thought, what about the "Access this computer from the network" policy in Local Policies on the 2k Server? If this has been explicitly defined and the user is not in the group defined for access, it will cause issues...
