Hi all.

I found that I could create DFS shares if I am in domain admin, does anyone know if can NOT be in domain admin but still create the share?

cheers and heres a good 2008 for everyone...

Update

You can get away with being in the Administrators group on all machines used in DFS...

DFS Server1 (Name Space root Server, Name Space goes here)
DFS Server2 (Data Storage Server, Shares go Here)

This will allow you to create DFS Name Space and to create shares on the DFS Data Server.

BUT

You will have to have domain admin rights for repleication as it's stored in AD.
