At my office we have a network using Windows XP Professional and Windows 98 machines. We also are using Microsoft Access 97 on all the machines. On the 98 machines we can open our database in Microsoft Access just fine, on the XP machines we cannot open our data base. It gives an error message
&quot;You don't have the necessary permissions to use the <name> object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you. (Error 3033)&quot;
I have tried to change the permission but I do not know how. I do not know Microsoft Access too well, obviously. Any help would be greaty appreciated.

You may need to join the workgroup used on the 98 machines. If you have a secure database and the XP machines have either Access 2000 or 2002 then the default workgroup on the XP machines won't match that on the 98 machines. Check help on joining a workgroup.
