Hi

I have a Database that I have created using the sa account. I wish to create some store procedures. From EM, I selected New Stored Procedure and pasted my text into the edit box and clicked OK. I receive the Error

Error 2760: Specified Owner name 'OWNER' either does not exist or does not have permissions to use it

The permissions box is also disabled

The server was registered in EM via with the sa account.

Cheers

It seems that you are creating the SP with 'OWNER' instaed of dbo(Create dbo.proc_name). I am just guessing. If you can paste the code it will give a better idea where its going wrong.

Cyno,

I'm trying to create the SP from Enterprise Manager, as such I would have assumed that using the sa account, it would attempt to create the proc with an owner of dbo

Cheers

Doh, ignore me I'm being a dunce, I'd changed the SP name but not the [owner] text to dbo

Now where's that blushing emoticon ;-)

You need to change the owner to dbo. Try changing it dbo and i am sure it will work.
