I am on a newly configured NT machine, trying to execute the perl command and I get ''PERL' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.' This machine does have a Perl folder on the C: drive that looks to be installed. Is there something else that needs to be done?

Or, is it possible that this Perl folder was simply copied over from another machine and never installed?

Could you check the environment variable $PATH in System->Advanced->Environment VAriables..You could add it to the path.

You could try to reinstall perl again, it will ask you if you want to add the Perl path to the variable PATH.

Cheers
