Hi,
We have a HP NetServer running Windows 2000 Server.
We are in a cross platform enviroment with both Macs and Windows PCs connecting to shares on this server.
For the last 12 months there are people who are adamant that when someone performs a search/Find from their machine on the shares they are connected to, its has an impact on performance which is noticed by other users connected to the server at the time.
When I say an impact on performance, I mean the users say that the server 'goes all slow'.
Now whenever the server 'goes all slow' they quickly blame it on the possibility of someone doing a search.
Is it possible for a search peformed on network shares to slow it down for the others users conencted to them ?
