We're having some problems with some users at a specific location and we've been having trouble nailing down the cause. I'd like to find some sort of (hopefully free) performance monitoring tool that runs on the client and keeps a record of system performance, specifically CPU usage, preferably showing it broken down by process.

It would be nice if it showed network traffic and memory usage, too. It's important that it be logging this information so that we can correlate application problems with the logs.

I found a couple of apps that turned out not to really work at all. I know of some others that are very expensive.

Any ideas?
