Performance Issues with Kana/Crystal Reports

Hi, We run an application called Kana - We have been seeing some performance issues lately. We currently run Crystal reports against the live database while user are in using the application, we also have DB maintenance jobs that run at night & crystal reports during that time frame - The Kana application is used 7x24.

Question:

1. Is anyone using Kana/Crystal reports - how do you run your reports? Are you seeing any issues?
2. Is it possible to copy the Kana Oracle database to seperate databse for Crystal Reports?
3. We currently have max Crystal Reports to run at 5

Any recommendations would be very helpful!!
