Hi,
I have been looking through all the threads regarding the functions that have been created to calculate the percentile for an array of values.
I am new to all this and for the life of me cannot get anything to work. I have tried to call the functions from the aggregated query with all types of errors.
I have created a DB with various fields, eg. fields + data;
Department, Title, Campus, CampusType, Salary
-----------------------------------------------
Medicine, Professor, West, University, $100,000
Law, Assoc. Prof, South, University, $90,000
I want to create a number of queries that group areas to gether and calculate the 25th, 50th and 75th percentiles, eg. Group by Department, Group by Campus, Group by Title
I may be looking for an easy way out, but does someone have an example database that can show me how to pull all the areas together (function into the query), with a small data set. I find it easier to reverse engineer.
This is the function I have been trying to use:
Many Thanks
Paul
