Hi:
I need to scrap an old mobo & have a PIII-600mhz CPU w/
a Bus Speed of 100mhz. The real question is: Can I take this CPU & put it in another Socket-370 mobo that has a bus speed of 133mhz???

Tnx in advance

Probably!

Most boards are backward compatible - it's worth checking on the maker's website in the tech specs, of course.

Is the PIII a socket-370 CPU? If so, then yes. The P-III coppermines were meant to run at 133MHz.

The answer to the question is yes, it's a Socket 370 (PGA370) ZIF, 100mhz bus. I should be able to locate a new board for a decent price. Tnx for the info.
