I have a Compaq 1200-XL laptop that came with 98SE and I upgraded to W2K. Well........ all went well except for the PCMCIA slots (2). They no longer read as active. I mostly use it for my FLASH memory ( camera ). Now it reads a card is inserted and beeps, but nothing !!!.
I tried uninstalling the card, the PCMCIA device and renaming the flash "Fujitsu removable drive" , as I found one person to made this work.
I found a Tech-sheet at Microsoft about Texas PCMCIA bus slots losing after W2K, but I found no where to download the fix to the three .SYS files.
Can anyone suggest a registry hack, supply me with the .SYS files or tell me a solution ?
Thanks in advance,
Ron Ron
