PCI Multimedia Audio Device Problem

Hello,

I have reinstalled Win98SE on a machine and cannot get any audio out of the speakers. It is onboard speaker jacks. I have input a Vortex sound card and while Device Manager recognizes it there is still no sound. In Device Manager I have the message indicating a Yellow question mark next to the "PCI Multimedia Audio Device".
This is on a Compaq Presario 5000.
Any assistance would be very helpful.

You need to download & install the correct sound drivers
