ive been told with pc anywhere version 10 onwards you can load onto remote pc to cnnect if u know the ip address of the remote heres what i wanna do the pc has no screen or k/b etc its used as an archive server its at the other end of building so i want to remotely connect to it from my office cant use terminal services as win 98 loaded so have loaded pcanywhere version 10 but cant see how to load on remote pc any ideas

All you need is the ip address and the user name and password. Did you set these up on the "host" machine? And did you start pc anywhere in the "host" mode on the server?

With pc anywhere you have to create a server package and install that onto the machine you want to connect to. You then use the Client part of PC anywhere to connect to the server you have set up on the other machine.

However I would recommend using Real VNC from it is free and works on all major platforms. It is also open source so can be customised if needed. It is also dead easy to set up.
