Hi All,
I am running a CS1000 Rel 5.0, E1 ETSI PRI and using PCA to send incoming calls to user deskphone and to their mobile phone (cell) simultaneously. The actual call routing all works Ok as both phones will ring at the same time. The problem I am having is that the call to the mobile phone will drop after a period of 10 - 14 seconds, but the call still rings on the desk phone and can be answered. I have done various DCH traces and can see that the PABX is sending a DISC message to the network. Traces are as follows;
Trace #1
Call successful. Ext 2480 was setup as straight callforward no answer to mobile, and not using PCA.
You can see the messaging flow as follows;
OMSG CC_SETUP_REQ <------- call setup request from PABX to network
IMSG CC_PROCEED_IND <------- call proceeding indication from network
IMSG CC_ALERT_IND <------ call alerting indication from network
IMSG CC_SETUP_CONF <------ call setup confirmation from network
OMSG CC_DISC_REQ <------ call disconnect message from PABX
Trace #2
Call Fail. Mobile call to ext 2480 (a new PCA extension that I setup) using PCA to send call external to mobile.
OMSG CC_SETUP_REQ <------- call setup request from PABX to network
IMSG CC_PROCEED_IND <------- call proceeding indication from network
IMSG CC_ALERT_IND <------ call alerting indication from network
OMSG CC_DISC_REQ <------ call disconnect message from PABX
Trace #3
Call Fail. Mobile call to ext 2486, using PCA to send call external to mobile.
OMSG CC_SETUP_REQ <------- call setup request from PABX to network
IMSG CC_PROCEED_IND <------- call proceeding indication from network
IMSG CC_ALERT_IND <------ call alerting indication from network
OMSG CC_DISC_REQ <------ call disconnect message from PABX
I have spoken to Nortel and they suggest I change the T310 or T203 timers on the DCH in LD 17. I have looked at Nortel NTP's and have found some conflicting information as to what these timers do. Has anyone else had this problem and which timers should I be extending and what the timers do.
