Hi

I left my pc for a couple of minutes - popped out of the room and when I got back it was totally dead. I changed the lead and the plug socket thinking perhaps a fuse blew - but there is no power what so ever. Am I right in saying that the power supply could have failed? Could it be something else like the motherboard? It doesn't beep, switch on or anything.

Thanks

Most likely the power supply but obviously that doesn't rule out the chance that it could be something else.
If you access to a PSU or can loan one, then try this first.
