I just recently bought an ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500DV Card(AGP version), and before I installed the card, I had uninstalled previous ATI and my video adapter card software and drivers from my computer. I also disabled my built-in video adapter too. In addition, I went to my BIOS After I had installed my ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON, my computer wouldn't boot up. I just got a self test message that came across my computer's monitor screen telling me that my monitor is working and that I need to check the video cable and computer.

On an ending note, what must I do to get my computer to boot up with my ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500DV Card(AGP version) installed?

First thing I would do is check ur card is plugged in securely. AGP ports are really dodgy and you really need to push some acrds hard to get them in.

Dear Pyramus,

I read about checking to make sure whether AGP cards are firmly seated in the port in the troubleshooting section of my manual for my graphics card, and I've done that. I don't think that I could push it any farther. I think that I might damage the card if I push it any farther. LOL! I might check again if I attempt to install my graphics card again. Pyramus, if you could think of something other the card not being firmly seated in the port, please let me know.

As I close, thank you for your concern.

Try taking it down to 2X AGP in the BIOS until you get the updated Drivers for your motherboard and video card. It could be since it was an integrated board it did not put the drivers on for the actual AGP port or there might be an upgrade at the motherboard manufacturers site.

ATI is a pain to setup but once you get all the bugs out that 8500 is a great video card.

Let us know how it goes! [smile] ggebhart@clover.net
I hope I never get too old or arrogant to learn something new!

To those who were concern with my ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500DV Card(AGP version),

I want to let you guys know that I couldn't get it to work. After doing some research, I found that my motherboard(M810) was the only type of motherboard that fail the test with the ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500DV Card (AGP version), so I concluded that my motherboard wasn't compatible with the ALL-IN-WONDER-RADEON 8500DV Card(AGP version), and I took the card back for any exchange.

Just out of curiosity, Have you applied your latest Bios Update.... they usually fix problems with m/b incompatibility....just something to try ...

Dear Neo81,

I did think about upgrading my BIOS, but I was scared. I didn't want to mess something up. In the future, I think I'll do some research on updating BIOS. If you have so input on BIOS updating, I'll be happy to accept.

I believe that 810 chipset motherboard is for AGP 1X/2X only, if I'm remembering correctly, and your video card is probably a 4X, only. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]

Also, you didn't say what operating system you have, TV and video-capture features aren't supported under Windows 98 SE or earlier operating systems on this card.
