I have 2 W2K Prof PC's after a while when there are not used, the computer automatically logs off the user. I cannot find the setting where to change it.
Please let me know how to change it.

Thank you

the only thing I know of that does this, is the WinExit screen saver... check that.

Check the Power Options in the Control Panel. If you have them set to go into Standby after non-use, there is an option under the Advanced tab to require a password to come out of Standby. If checked, the user must re-enter his password. This might be what is causing your problem.

Many screensavers demand a username and password. This is not a true logoff, but it appears like one.

Right-click a blank area of the desktop, Properties, and check under the Screensaver tab for any settings. You can disable the username and password requirement.

I checked every setting in the PC's, the power options are set correctly, I don't have a screensaver set up and the winexit.scr is not installed on the pc.

Any other ideas, why it happens? out of about 30 Pc's I only have 3 who log off after a while

Thanks

Look in Scheduled Tasks to see if something was set.
