Hi.
I've had a computer go wrong on a windows 2000 domain. If i setup a new computer and call it the same name as the old one, will it work ok? such as shared printers/files

It will do, but please delete the computer object for the old one from Active Directory before you join the new one in. If not, you will have problems joining it to the domain.
