What do I do in Illustrator 9.0 to be able to save a drawing and open it on a Mac? The error message on the Mac says something about no program associated with the file...
Macs and PCs associate files with programs in different ways. However, despite the error message, the file is probably still fine. Instead of double-clicking to open it, open Illustrator first, then use File > Open and it should work ok. Once you save it again on the Mac, you'll be able to double-click it again.
To reiderate, Mac keep their headers (creator info) inside the file, PC's tack theirs on to the end of the file name via a 2 or 3 letter abbreviation. (why is abbreviation such a long word?) In the case that you are bringing a mac file over to a pc, you would only need to change the file name so that it has the correct extension. BEHOLD!
