Hi,

I have a old reception setup using PC consoles. Loaded software onto new machine with exactly the same os, service pack, keyboard settings etc as working console. (XP ,Professional, Service pack 2, 2002)

Problems is that when call come in from outside, the users cannot use the f6 (answer call) key. Works fine on internal calls, just not outside callers. Weird. Everything else works perfectly, including answering calls via mouse

Duplicated every setting from working pc and replaced keyboards etc.

Anybody help, as I'm out of ideas and settings to change.

thanks

You did not mention what release of Avay you have but if it is realy an old version of PC console you are running, it will not run on Windows XP, It must eitehr be Windows 98 or NT 4. If I remember correctly you could not even run the software on XP in the backward compatibility mode

Hi,

we running V11.

I always thought that we couldn't run it on XP either as I tried before. However, we tried it on Service Pack 2 and it works. Even the F6 function and has been on a PC for 4 months. The new one does work very well too, it is just the F6 on this machine. I might have been lucky on the first one, I'll try on NT4.

Business isn't keen on new licence costs on IP Softconsole.

Thanks for the reply

For future readers

The version of Software 2.2.2 does work on XP, but not with the users using the F6 to answer the calls. The users tell me that this is very very useful to them.

However,on the PC that worked 2.2.4 does work everything.

Seems I loaded an older version of software. Loaded the 2.2.4 and up and running.

Little bit odd as the Geilo says, it's not supposed to work on XP at all. New service pack on XP seems to have sorted it out though.

Thanks
