PC Chips M848A Bios

I've nearly given up on my new mobo - finally got XP installed, but it hangs at the login screen. Thought I'd try a BIOS upgrade as a last restort, but the PC Chips website has the wrong file attached to the link. Anywhere else I can get this?

Any other ideas?

what do you mean it points to the wrong file? Are you using the bios update programs up the top to descramble the file so your mobo can understand it.
The File well i cant tell you wheter its right or not but make sure you use the proper bios update programs!

The webpage link doesn't link to the 848.rom file, but another one. When I try to instal it, I am warned that the names are different. I will let me continue, but I really don't want to risk it.

well ive looked around for you and cant find any more than that one sorry check the list to see if there is a file name with 484 in it you never no they might just have jumbled it up a little bit
