PC and Mac Compatability

I am working on a project on Dreamweaver 4 along with another developer. This other developer has a MAC. She created a template and uploaded it to the host.
I downloaded her changes including the template but now whenever I open this project my PC crashes or goes into super slow motion.
Any ideas why?

could be a buncha things - what happens when you create a document and the mac try to open it? "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!"
