I had a question, on ddr memory, is there a huge difference from pc 2100 to pc 2700? is 2700 much faster than 2100? should i consider 2700? worth it? i'd like some opinions please, thanks in advance. =)

there is a differance of course. howmuch 2100 do you currently run? faster may seem better sometimes it isnt. for instance i get better perfomance from my old p3 750mhz with a gig f 100 mhz ram than i did with 780 megs of 133.
so it depends on what you are using your machine for and your cash flow...
if you can get more for less, and it doesn't interfere with the progs you use go the cheap route.but this is just my opinion from experience...

Hardly any differance! but there is a differance, probably not enough of one to even notice but it's there.
I guess you have to ask yourself a question " why did I go out and buy all this expensive gear when my out P3 800 did everything I wanted it to do" fastest chipset, new processor, 7200rpm drive so why go for the slower memory??
We all know it will hardly make any differance but it will always by there in the back of your mind if you don't buy it.
(you're gonna tell me you had a 486 for your last machine aren't you?? lol Martin Please let members know if there advice has helped any.

There is not too much improvement gained from moving from PC2100 to PC2700 memory.

There is a noticeable improvement from moving from a 5400 rpm hard drive to a faster hard drive. This is an example of more bang for the buck. Some people say the newer Western Digital Hard Drive makes a big difference due to the 8 Meg Cache on the hard drive. Another big advantage may be obtained from going from a PIII platform to a P4 with a 400 or 533 bus speed. A larger cache size on a P4 128k(celeron) compared to a 256k or 512k makes a somewhat noticeable differrence. Sometimes you can not notice much difference at all running a word processor or a microsoft word porgram. However if you are ripping an MP3 or playing 3D video games you may notice a difference. If you do not like my post feel free to point out your opinion or my errors.

I recently built a system that will use either...and my research told me there's about 4% difference...so guess which I used?
