Hi,

When I fill an object with a pattern and resize the object, the pattern fill remains the same size. How can I make it so that when I resize an object, the pattern fill will keep the same proportion. (e.g. if I fill a box with a dotted pattern, I want the the dots in the pattern to enlarge when I make the box bigger - not fill the bigger box with more dots). Anyone know?

Thanks for your help.

You'll need to expand the pattern first (Object > Expand...) and make sure that 'fill' is selected. It's a bit like creating outlines with text because once applied, Illustrator doesn't treat the fill as a pattern anymore, but rather a masked illustration.
