Pasting Into Text Box

I have a report where I need to add some verbage. I created a text object and was hoping to be able to cut and paste from Word, into that text object. When I attempt that I get :

Firewall will be compiled at appx.

I saved it out as a .txt file and still get the same thing.
Any suggestions?? Thank you!

A work around would be to paste into a formula field and then re-copy it into the text object.
