Anyone have any ideas why images (screen shots) in Word are acting very slow. As soon as I paste the images into Word - i get a blank border. The images eventually appear but disappear again as soon as I begin to scroll. The images again will not reappear for some time. This is happening in Word 2002 SP1 and Word 2003

The images are a managable size and if I paste into wordpad - they work fine.

Pating images into Word is not a good idea as they get converted to BMP format which can lead to large file size.

Always best to paste into Photoshop or something similar, save as GIF or JPEG and then insert into Word

Rather than pasting them try doing an Insert\Picture\From File. I do this and it works a treat.

The real world is not about exam scores, it's about ability.

I should add that to do the above you would need to save the grabs before
