I've read what I could find about default definity passwords. I am tired of having to call Avaya to do a reset sys 4 on my remote LSP's

When trying to telnet into the lsp and using the craft login i get a challenge, how can I bypass this ?

Can I reset LSP with the DADMIN login?

Depending on your login, you could reset the LSP if you have MSP (maintenance service permissions). Otherwise you could try and login to the media gateways and reset the MGP (media gateway Processor). Usually the login and passwords are default ( Login: root, Password: root). You can find the media gateway address with the "list media-gateway" command. Just telnet to the gateways and go into configure mode with "configure" command and reset with "reset mgp". If you have Communication 3 or greater, you can setup a recovery rule so that the media gateways come out of lsp by themselves after network connectivity is restored. Hope this helps.

How do I verify Maint Serv Permissions?

great info thank you
