Hi guys,

I have a couple of hundred computers running xp in a 2000 environment. Most of the computers were configured by contractors and the local administrators passwords have been left blank.

What i'd like to do (preferably through group policy) is to change the local administrators passwords by mass. I was thinking maybe introduce a procedure by which the local administrators passwords are changed on a weekly basis.

Does anyone know a way to do this?

Thanks

Andy

You could create a policy that runs a startup script. This script could run a command that will edit/change any user parameters. It could be as simple as a batch file doing a net user command.

Check out this web site.

They have a program that will change the local admin password on your machines.

I have about 130 on my network and all I need to do is just create a txt file with all the netbios names in it. Real simple stuff.

Good luck,

Anthony

I gave you the star anthonymeluso. Nice find. I remember seeing that years ago but forgot about it.
