Is there a way to set the record selection formula in a subreport to the record selection formula of the main report? Thanks for your help.

Yes-

what version of Crystal are you using and what is your back end??

How do we supply runtime parameters to parameterized reports based on a SQL query as we do with Data Reports in Visual Basic ? Could anyone provide help on this

yes ..
by linking the subreport with the main report..
you have to go to edit/subreportLinks and do the appropriate as it will ask you..
thanks

I've tried linking the subreport with the main report but the subreport only displays one record. I would mention too that this report is being run using a third party application (Websense Reporter). The record selection formula is being created by this application.

now that you have the links in place go into your subreport and check your record selection, sometimes you need to tweak it. for example, it may say field = (parameter1) and
field = (parameter2) but you in fact want it to say field between (parameter1) and (parameter2)..so it always helps to go and look at that.

I've never heard of websense reporter, what is it and how does it work? does it have security built into it?
can you tell me where I can get info on it?

thanks
