Passing parameters to a MapX OCX at runtime

Help me please ;-)

I have a MapX OCX which I have created using MapX4.5 and VB6. My problem is that I don't know how to pass a parameter to the OCX when it is first run using the UserControl.Show function.

Can someone tell me how to, in VB 6, declare a class which contains public properties / variables, and procedure(s) which can be modified / called by someone using the ocx.
