I have two Definity G3 systems tied together with two T1's. One is a DSC link, and the other is an ISDN span. I did this to try and get inbound Caller ID from the main site (presented via two PRI's, which are working to Site A) to pass to the alternate site. The PRI's come into Site A, which has the following software, etc:
Code:
  CURRENT SYSTEM INFORMATION

            Software Load: R012i.01.1.414.1
     Memory Configuration: G3siV12
           Offer Category: A

The ISDN link to Site B has everything I can think of to pass info, and is set up as a national circuit. Site B is as follows:
Code:
 CURRENT SYSTEM INFORMATION

            Software Load: R011i.02.0.110.4
     Memory Configuration: G3siV11
           Offer Category: A

Both systems pass name and number when dialing station to station, but only the trunk name and TAC show up on a call from the outside world, then across the ISDN line to Site B.

Any ideas? Please let me know if anyone needs trunk configs. I could post them, but I did not want to make this post to long, especially if I am just missing something simple.

Thanks in advance,

Scott M.

On page 2 of the trunk group, try selecting "y" on send calling number.... on the inbound trunk.

I've tried to do this when somebody answered in site A and to pass ANI to site B... I can only get it to work if site A does not answer and the call routes directly to site B.

Worth a try...

Thanks,

I can pass number site-to-site across ISDN as wildcard described above, but cannot seem to get name to go with it. Even if it's an ISDN PRI used as tie, do I have to have the carrier set to NI-2?

We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.

Wildcard,

I do have Send calling number set to yes, still with no success. Thanks for trying. I would love it if I could get at least the number to pass.

Thanks

Scott M.

Check both places... Inbound trunk and tie trunk, flag "y" on both to Send Calling number. As I somewhat mentioned, I could only get the ANI passed to site "b" if site "A" did not answer. In my situation I have BSR setup, if site "b" has a better agent than site "a", the call routes directly to site "b" passing ANI with no problems. However if an agent in site "A" answers, then transfers to site "b", I could not get the original caller ANI to pass with it.

Thanks,

Wildcard

Also set there as well. I have a users group meeting on Wednesday, so i will try to bring all my printouts there and see if I get any suggestions. It could be the whole answered at site A issue.

Thanks again,

Scott M.

Ok, more data that has me even more stumped than before:

I set up a DID on site B so I could bypass the auto attendant. Now a call to the DID at site B shows
Code:
 a= CALL FROM
 303-430-xxxx

This is closer, but apparently I am losing this info when the call is passed thru the auto attendant. Even more strange is that they do not get the name, but I do at Site A.

I assume there could be an issue with the transfer off-net, but why will the name not show on a DID call to Site B?

Any new ideas?

Scott M.
