ok here is what I am doing
calling form another phone to the voicemail I am trying to change. What we want to do is to change all the pass words 26 16 & 3903phones??
*81
5332#
1733#
login is incorrect
I think it expired so how can I change it? as well as the other phones?

You need to reset the password/acess from the system console. Log in and go to the mailbox in question (5332) and arrow down to see if the mailbox is locked (disabled). If it is, you should have heard a message asking you to contact the system administrator. If the mailbox is disabled, you can arrow down and use the space bar to enable the mailbox. You can also change the password from here if you do not know what it is. I think it is a PF key, possibly PF4 or PF9, depending on your terminal type.

If you need to change the passwords on several mailboxes, I would suggest doing it from the console. This will be much faster than doing it from a phone.

Hope this helps,

WE are trying to do this remotely and most if not all the passwords are starting to expire on us, so how does the end user (once it has expired) change their own password??

The user "should" be prompted when the password has expired in order to gain entry into their own mailbox. It is not possible for a mailbox user to access their voicemail with an expired password. System forces user to change it prior to hearing any messages.

A user can change their own password by selecting 89 on entry into their mailbox. The promts will say "Password change" then ask the user to enter the new password, followed by the pound sign. User then is asked to verify their new password, followed by pound sign. Finally, they are asked to enter their old password to verify the change, again followed by the pound sign. System states password has been changed, and they are then placed back to their main menu.

Hope this helps,

ok it worked to let you know we used 84 is there a difference in the two? 89 vrs 84?
btw thank you soo very much again!!

No, just me typing faster than my brain can process (which is not very fast in either case). It is 84 for password change on mine as well.

Sorry for the confusion.
