I have a situation where a customer does not use DHCP for any of their computers or phones. Static IP connections on the computers work fine. Static IP addresses on 9620 phones work fine. However, when the computer is connected to the switch on the phone either the phone or computer will work, but not both. When the computer works the phone will show Discover. When the phone works the computer cannot access any network resources. We have verified there are no IP conflicts. I don't have a network diagram to attach, but in this case we have the following:
Phones and computers on 192.168.2.x network going through 192.168.2.253 router. Phones connected to Cisco 2960 POE switch. Data routes from 2.x to 1.x network (IP Office also on 1.x network).
One suggestion was to force the POE switch from Auto to 100/Full. We did this and it appeared to solve the problem because phone changed to normal display. However, phone has no functionality.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions?
