I am using a Partner ACS R5 Remote Admin Software,
R5.0.0, V5.0.0.4, which I down loaded from the Avaya Website.

The COPY feature for the Button Programing for extns. does not work.

Does anyone know if there is another version or has anyone been able to get this to work?

Thanks.

Hi guestworks,
The copy extension only copies the lines and line settings from one extension to others, not the other buttons. I'm told that copying the other buttons will be in a future release. I can hardly wait. This mimics #399 in system programming.

Must be nice I cant even connect, using the software. It gets modem tones, but says the signal has been lost

hey mongo, there were some driver related issues with the software that AVAYA has patches for the software on their website under Support-downloads.

Hi Mongo5150,
What version of Windoze are you using? I use '98 because it's semi stable and fits on a laptop better. I just do not have the patience for 2000 or XP.
Are you connecting on site, through autoattendant (7-9 pauses before 776) or assisted (hit the go button at the first ring at ext 76)? I use all methods with no trouble. If you are using XP, then jinx is correct. You need the patch.

I am using Xp on my home pc and ME on my laptop. Using WinSPM. I have downloaded 3 different copies of WIN SPM thinking that was it. My other question, I set up ext 76 in hunt group 6. But the AA only recognizes the first 2 digits. Any help would be appreciated.

Wait, are you using WINSPM or Remote Access. If your using winspm to do remote access on a parnter, that could be your issue. I think you meant remote access but you never know? What kind of VM are you using as well?

Hi Matt,
As jinxs has pointed out, you need to use Remote Administration for the partner. WinSPM is for the Legend / Magix series of product. From your text, I am assuming that you are using Remote Administration. Make sure that you have saved a password on the remote system (#730 <password> enter). You must do that locally on the system from ext 10 or 11. You should then do a manual backup (#124 enter).
The autoattendant should recognise 776 as a valid hunt group. I can't understand why the AA would only accept two digits. Ext 76 cannot be directly dialed from the AA since it is out of the dial plan range.
Is there an answer in there for you?
-Chris

I didn't do a backup, would that prevent the password I put in (#730)from working? My bad, I have SPM but I was trying to connect w/partner remote admin. I think Version 6. Ya know, I should start a new thread. Thanx

Hi Matt,
Not backing up the system does not prevent you from saving the password. It only protects the programming that will allow you to get into the system later should the program need to be restored.
