Hi

Can anybody help me to understand how Partioning works, I understand it allows different users to make calls using different carriers, my system is setup as follows:-

Route Index PGN 1 PGN 2 PGN 3
1 1 4 3
2 2 2 2
3 10 10 10

I understand that you assign the PGN in the cor field and that the 1,4 & 3 relate to route patterns, but I don't understand why there is more than 1 route index. How is route index 2 used ??

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Tr

when your route pattern is shown as 'p4', that means on the partition routing table,
you go to index 4, and match it to the PG of the caller to find the route pattern used.HTH

In addition:

to check the active partition-group a user is in, check the user's COR, check the time-of-day-chart for the COR and look it up (disp time-of-day x) Here, you find the partitioning groups users are in depending on the time of day. In the screen you put up here, the link between route-patterns and partition-groups is made.

Hope this helps. For more help, just gimme a shout!

Kind Regards,
Maarten Copini
