Partition Magic "A disk read error occurred"

I performed a merge partition action with Partition Magic 7 (My harddrive had 4 NTFS partitions--C, D,E & F and I wanted to merge D into C), and now I can't boot up windows.

everytime I boot up Windows XP pro I get "A disk read error occurred"

I ran PM 7 from the floppies I created and it tells me there's an error #113. I tried everything and nothing worked.

I even tried to boot of off my windows XP pro CD and I can't even do that.. I changed the order in the BIOS as well..

Please advice..

Does your bios see the hard drive?
Is C active?

I gave the HD to a fried, he has a SW called "Getback" or something like that.. I hope I can get some of my data..
