How do I get a query to search based on a certain word or phrase and not the exact parameters in the table itself?

You field = Zebra, Monkeyz, Gazzelle

Like Z* returns Zebra
Like *Z returns Gazelle
Like *Z retuns Monkeyz

Put this in the Criteria of yout query field. Make sure and surround the variable with quotes. I.E. Like "Z*"

Actually,

Like Z* returns Zebra
Like *Z returns Monkeyz
Like *Z* returns all 3 records

I dont know if I was being completely clear...
I have a column named: Formulas

Now some records have 20% A, 80% B or 30% B, 70% C All in ONE RECORD! How do I make so that I dont have to type "20% A, 80% B" But just A or B

If you're looking for all "A"s enter one of the following in the Formula criteria box of your query:

Like "*A"
This would return all values ending in A

Like "*A*"
This would return all values with an A anywhere in a field.

HTH

Thanks, now do I change that so that I can enter in the parameters to search for the query.

Like [Enter search criteria] & "*"
or
Like "** & [Enter search criteria] & "*"
