We have Symposium, but has not been backed up.
Its on a NT Server with a tape drive.
When I run a Partial Backup, the screen displays the following:
Current Status: Completed abnormally
Last Status: Backup in progress
Last Msg File: d:\nortel\data\backup\backuplogs\SCCS_Database 040624 1001

NT Event Log shows:
Configuration file missing or unreadable

Note: Using NT Backup was able to erase the tape successfully.

Did you ever figure this one out? We have the same problem, backup never worked correctly... I just use Norton Ghost, and cloned the drive once a month... AND THANK GOD.. the beast just crashed the other day... poped the new drive in and no headaches.. all back up and running.. lost a few days of reports though...

Are you using the backup option within SECC or other software?

<Do I need A Signature or will an X do?>

I use NORTON GHOST to totally CLONE the drive....

spirit1, try changing out the tape. Make sure the tape is compatible with the drive. Make sure it has not already had an NT backup written to it (Symposium uses a different format).
