I am using crystal X1 (embedded) and need to put a parameter on my report invloving the informaiton only found in a subreport inside my Group Header.

You can put the parameter in the subreport and select subreport records based on that parameter.

MrBill

The subreport is a report that determines if a team member is associated with a project or not. That particular subreport is in a large report called that runs all open work orders. I need the open work order report to run by individual(parameter on my subreport). I cannot seem to figure this out. If I go to put a parameter on the report itself I cannot grasp the team members portion because it's a subreport. If I put the parameter on the subreport than I cannot run the report without seperating my team member. Does this make sense? I am confused.

It sounds like you are trying to select records in your main report based on a value in your subreport.
I don't think you can do this.

Someone might be able to come up with a solution if you can give more information such as the data in the main report and the data in the subreport and how the reports are linked.

MrBill

Sounds to me liek you may have your reports the wrong way round.

You can't filter then main report using values from a subreport, looks like you'll need to use the subreport as the main report.

without knowing more about your specific requirements it's hard to come up with any more detailed suggestions.
