I keep getting this error when I try to read a CD on this old Micron Powerstation I pulled out of the storage room. I know the CD-ROM works, because it installed Windows NT Server just fine. But it doesn't seem to want to read anything else, or at least none of the TechNet CDs I put in. Any suggestions? Jennifer Sigman

No... this is an older CD-ROM drive. You put the CD into a little case then put it into the drive. And it worked great with the Windows NT Server CD. I'll try it, tho, thanks. Jennifer Sigman

Might have to do some intense cleaning...sounds like connection problem...
Are you trying to install with it?
I know you have lots of time on your hands, Jennifer, so here's a LOTTA leads to follow if the latter is your problem (with Install Shield problems)

Nope, it installed Windows NT Server just fine. What I'm trying to do now is put some service patches and other Admin tools. I'll keep puttering around with it when I can, thanks for the leads. Jennifer Sigman
