I've just built a new cube showing weekly sales etc in weekly buckets with a hierachical linear time structure. I need to be able to calculate % increase to last year, but can't get the formula right. Previously I have not used linear time, but called the version of data Actual'99 and Actual '00, but have been asked to rebuild with linear time. Formula says:
ParallelPeriod ( [[Time Weeks].[Year],1, [Version].[Actual] )
(but it obviously needs to be nested within the caclulation)
where Time weeks is the time dimension, and Version is Actual or Budget. Am I being even more thick than usual! - any help gratefully appreciated.
